Radiohead in my local park

Went for a run this evening and who should be playing there but the world's greatest band, Radiohead.

Confirms my suspicion that not only is London the bets place to live in the world but East London is clearly the coolest part of London. North London a close second, way ahead of posh and self satisfied West and South.

Not that I'm going mind. I lost all my coolness circa 2003. And even then it wasn't much. I'm hoping I'm getting so uncool that soon I become cool. Like my Stepdad's bright orange trousers.

Views of Christmas 2007

A lovely Danish forest

Magnificent London - Tower Bridge

Pretty Crimbo lights at Sloane Square

Home - Liverpool - Georgian splendour with earthy pragmatism and liberal helpings of genius. And some cars.

Heaven - Anfield - same thing

Bow Quarter

Oooh. The place where I live was in the Guardian yesterday which was sort of exciting. I wonder if I should feel guilty about living in a 'gated' development but then I think I have much more important things to feel guilty about so I stop.

Bow Quarter is where Bryant & May used to make matches and anyway all the girls who worked in the factory got this thing where their jaws sort of fell off from the phosphorous ('phossie jaw') and so Annie Besant led the first strike here. I like that. I live opposite the factory kitchens where all the girls came for their cheese sandwiches.

Dusty, the resident obese cat, is now outside staring at the window hungrily like the chunky feline he is.

If he were bigger, a lion say, I would be afraid. As it is, I am going to go out and tickle his chubby little cheeks.

I like that too.

SNOW!

So anyway, I went to the park with my mate Andrea. And look! I took photos on my new phone (more of which later).

Look at the natural beauty!

And here is an amusing snowman, well, snowwoman actually.
(I didn't build it*).

*But secretly I wish I had.

And here Andrea and I play an amusing game involving pointing.
Oh, the laughs we had with the snow and the pointing!

Then we stopped for a bagel. I say bagel, what Andrea really meant was cake.

We didn't stop at the pub though, because we were both working....

Incriminating.

Then we all went home for tea and jam and to ritually sacrifice some infants.
